Nothing more precious than the innocent child Goku. ♡
A ninja mustn’t show his emotion in any situation.
And yet we learned with Zabuza and Haku that that’s simply impossible and Naruto taught us well. :)

It’s always a pleasure to see interpretations of pop culture that are not so literal. In Nishiyama’s case, he hints at giant robots through volumes, leg shapes, knee accessories and those beautiful long, flared gloves.
Worth reading the original article in full, as our friend Samuel at Tokyo Telephone does a great job of unpacking the references for the less robotically inclined.
Gundam inspired anything is amazing. :))

Really? All I could think about was T-PAIN!!
Mostly because when I was learning about Thomas Paine, nobody even knew Pein existed yet…. I feel old on tumblr, yet again.

So much this, you fucking weeaboos
okay (disclaimer I’m about to go on a rant)
excuse me for having opinions
but most dubs (especially girls and I could go on a separate rant about why this is but i won’t at this time) sound really annoying
i can’t stand things that sound annoying
especially voices
this is like saying you should buy Ke$ha music because she loves what she does etc
i’m not saying i hate ALL dubs
i always give the dub a try before i decide to hate it
and there are some american voice actors i fucking love
but from my experience, I DO hate most dubs
Also, American voice actors have a tendency to think “voice acting” means “over acting.”
A lot of them end up sounding annoying and ridiculous.
There are quite a few good english language voice actors out there, but unfortunately they’re not the majority.
^ I disagree in a sense
For all you know, the Japanese voice actors could be over acting, too. But (chances are) you don’t understand Japanese, so you wont be able to tell. And I mean ‘over acting’ in the sense that they put emphasis on too much word or little things like that (little things like that can make a big difference), but we’re just reading subtitles, and listening tot he sound of a voice. Not actually UNDERSTANDING the words of the language itself.
I respect all voice actors, both American and Japanese, for their wonderful work. However, that doesn’t mean I have to love dubs. Some are wonderful, some are horrible. Not liking a dub for a series doesn’t mean I have no respect for the hard work behind it, it’s just not my cup of tea.
I think dubs sound like shit, period.
American voice actors just don’t know how to give life to these Japanese characters properly. 喋り方とか完璧に日本人声優の素人以下なんだけど。まぁ、うちから言わせてみればね。To each his own.
